KioskNetOrder is a Mac app that allows you to print directly to a DPOF/Net Order Mode ready photo lab printer.
It can be used to extend and control your existing Kiosk Network, Event Photography, and easy printing of any networked image from your Mac to your lab printer. For printing you will require a professional lab quality printer such as available from Noritsu and Fuji with net order enabled software.
Key features include:
This app is NOT a printer driver you must have the required printer software for Net Order Mode. For example, in the case of the Noritsu printer, you require the usually supplied Easy Controller Lab Software.
It allows many ways to print your photos from your Mac or your network.. You can manually load them into a user defined image folder for previewing and printing - “Net Order Mode”. You may also manually load them into a "Hot Folder" where they can be printed any time or a timed basis. Users can use either technique to allow event printing with a camera tethered via usb, wifi or 'eye-fi'. Extended future features for special events printing are planned. The app can print directly from an attached camera or an iSight camera.
Unlimited Print Channels and Packages can defined and assigned to the Hot Folder or Image folder. Back Printing can be manipulated on a package or print channel basis. Images can be saved after printing. Hot Folders can be assigned a specific print quantity and any package or print channel. The image folder can be assigned a default print channel and quantity and can be easily changed for a one-off print (net order).
Photo Kiosks (such as the ever present Kodak Kiosks) are all PC based, and quite pricey. I had desired such a Mac Photo Kiosk app when I owned a couple of photo stores, instead at the time I resorted to hacked PCs. Although there are fewer and fewer photo Kiosks out there, there is still a demand. Instead of a stand-alone Kiosk app, I have also added this “Kiosk Mode” functionality to the KioskNetOrder app. It is a natural fit and adds value to the purchase of KioskNetOrder. Another feature of this software is the “Kiosk Management” functionality which gives you full control of any existing Kiosks that you have on your network.
